Back Pain Treatment in Aberdeen
Back pain is one of the most common reasons people seek physiotherapy. It can stem from many different causes, from postural issues and everyday strain to more complex disc or nerve-related conditions. Whether your pain is new or something that’s been bothering you for a while, we’re here to help you get moving comfortably again.
Common conditions we treat include:
Sciatica & Trapped Nerve
Can occur as a result of a disc bulge or a trapped nerve. Pain will usually be felt in the low back and may extend as far as the foot and may be accompanied by numbness and tingling.
Prolapsed disc
Can occur after sustained bending, sitting and/or lifting activities. Pain will usually be felt in the low back and may extend as far as the foot and may be accompanied by numbness and tingling.
Spondylosis/disc injuries
Can occur due to wear and tear of the discs and can combine with joint wear or arthritis. Pain will usually be felt over the low back and may extend over the buttocks and may extend as far as the knee.
Postural pain
Can be caused by one of the poor postures of lordosis, kyphosis, sway back or flat back. Pain will usually be felt around the low back or thoracic area.
