Acupuncture

Acupuncture involves the insertion of very fine sterile stainless steel needles into the skin. It has been used in China for over 2,000 years and increasingly in Western medicine with a growing body of scientific evidence and clinical research supporting its effectiveness.  Acupuncture promotes pain relief by stimulating the body to produce pain relieving chemicals such as endorphins and works for most people.  The number of treatments required depends on your response to acupuncture.

Acupuncture is commonly used by physiotherapists to compliment their manual therapy skills.  All of our physiotherapists who practice acupuncture are fully qualified and registered with the Acupuncture Association of Chartered Physiotherapists.
